Amarchand, Landwell, JDS on Jacobs Engineering's buy-out of CES

Amarchand Mangaldas, French law firm Landwell & Associés and JDS Lawchambers have advised on Singapore-based Jacobs Engineering Group’s acquisition of India-incorporated Consulting Engineering Services (CES).

Amarchand Mangaldas represented Jacobs Engineering Group’s subsidiary Jacobs Singapore on the aspects of Indian law while Landwell & Associés acted as the international legal counsel.

The team of lawyers from Amarchand Mangaldas included partner Jatin Aneja along with principal associate Vidyut Gulati and associates Neha Yadav and Arvind Gupta.

Landwell & Associés had partner Bruno Thomas and associate David Bonvarlet instrumental on the transaction.

JDS Lawchambers with managing partner Jivesh Chandrayan led for the seller CES.

The deal involved acquisition of CES in two tranches of 15 per cent and 55 per cent stakes respectively.

CES provides comprehensive consultancy services like project formulation, techno-economic feasibility studies, concept planning, design and engineering, project management and supervision work.

Jacobs Engineering is one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional, and construction services group with 2010 revenues of nearly $10bn.
