Global leader in loyalty and customer engagement, Affinion Group has acquired Pune-headquearted Tavisca Solutions, one of Affinion’s top technology partners and a leading provider of innovative technology to the travel industry, as per the press release by Affinion.

AZB & Partners acted as the legal advisors for Affinion Group and was led by partner Percis Anklesaria, senior associate Nitin Gupta and associates Abhishek Kalra, Jaya Devashish, Shefali Naik and Rakesh J Kumar.

J Sagar Associates (JSA) acted for the promoters of Pune based Tavisca Solutions, with the sale of their shareholding, with a team led partner Manvinder Singh, senior associate Sonali Kapoor and associate Aishwarya Malik.

The Affinion Group was also advised by US-firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in New York on non-Indian laws.

Headquartered in Pune with a U.S. office in Plano, Texas, Tavisco employs over 300 technology developers and support staff and works with loyalty and leisure travel companies, including Affinion Group’s Connexions Loyalty division, to help them support and grow their online travel solutions.

The deal also includes an option for Affinion to buy-out compulsorily convertible debentures of Tavisca held by the erstwhile promoters, over the next three years.

The deal value is confidential but exceeds $5m.
