DSK, Link Legal, CAM act on GOI sale of Kamarajar Port to Chennai Port Trust for $314m

The government completed strategic sale of Kamarajar Port Ltd to Chennai Port Trust, it said in a statement Friday, where it sold 74.49% stake for Rs 2,383 crore. The announcement followed strategic sale of state owned power companies THDC and NEEPCO Friday, which netted the government Rs 11,500 crore.

Projects and infrastructure aspects were handled by partner Anuja Tiwari.

Link Legal India Law Services acted as the legal advisors to Chennai Port Trust, led by partner Milind Jha and Senior Associate Shailender Sharma and the due diligence team comprised of associate partner Apurbalal Malik, senior associate Shailender Sharma, senior associate Kashish Arora and associate Aarohi Londhe. The team also advised the trust in raising acquisition financing from SBI as borrowers counsel.
