Tata Global Beverages Ltd (TGBL) has entered into an agreement to acquire the branded tea business of Dhunseri Tea & Industries Ltd for about ₹101 crore.

Khaitan & Co advised Dhunseri Tea & Industries Limited led by a team of partner Haigreve Khaitan, partner Anuj Shah, partner Supratim Chakraborty, senior associate Shourya Sengupta, associate Riya Dutta with assistance from the following on indirect tax aspects: executive director Arvind Baheti; and on intellectual property aspects: partner Adheesh Nargolkar, partner Shailendra Bhandare and principal associate Gautam Banerjee.
