L&L acts on Franco-Mangalorian Solvay-Anthea fragrance JV of $17.25m

Lyon, FRANCE & Mangalore, INDIA: Solvay, a world-leading producer of flavour and fragrance ingredients, and Anthea, a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals in India, have recently concluded an agreement to establish a joint venture named CATàSYNTH Speciality Chemicals, dedicated to the production of catechol derivatives. Through this Joint Venture, the two companies will work together to meet customers’ needs for additional, reliable supply for a range of products including methylenedioxybenzene, heliotropin (piperonal) and helional which are key ingredients for applications in the Flavour, Fragrance, Agrochemical & Pharma industries worldwide.

L&L Partners advised Anthea Aromatics Private Limited led by a team of partners Apurva Jayant and Anshuman Mozumdar, as well as associates Tanvi Varma, Vishakha Panchangam and Amritha Kumar. Direct tax inputs were provided by partner Lokesh Shah and indirect tax inputs were provided by partner Gunjan Mishra.
