Majmudar does India leg of Mastercard buy of Finicity with Cooleys

Mastercard Inc said on Tuesday it would buy Finicity in a deal valued at $825 million, adding a fintech firm that helps banks share customer data with other financial firms.

Majmudar & Partners advised Finicity led by a team of managing partner Akil Hirani, partner Amrit Mehta, tax counsel Ravi S Raghavan, associate Sinjini Majumdar, associate Dhruv Somayajula and company secretary Ritu Raj.

Also advising was US firm Cooley LLP.

The Indian counsel would carry out a limited due diligence and give CPs for the global transaction. May be an SPA or asset transfer based of the global draft. The way some firms report, it seems like they advise on the entire global transaction. The India value would be around a million
