Cipla_’s chief legal officer and NLSIU 1998 alumnus _Gautam Rohidekar has left the company.

Rohidekar had joined Cipla in November 2014.

We have reached out to Rohidekar for comment but not received a reply at the time of publication. However, several sources with knowledge of the development, including an authoritative source, confirmed that he had resigned and that no one had replaced him yet at Cipla.

A Cipla spokesperson declined to comment when contacted.

Rohidekar had headed the head of legal designation at Infosys BPO, vice president legal at Obopay Mobile Technology and deputy head of legal at Infosys before joining Cipla.

Cipla had added former Dr Reddy’s laboratory executive AS Kumar as general counsel in February as first reported by VCCircle, two years after the resignation of Murali Neelakantan as its global general counsel.

Neelakantan has been Glenmark Pharmaceuticals’ global general counsel since April 2017.

Interesting point - in common speak firm is used interchangeably with company. In our case can see how it can cause confusion though. Will change to 'pharma firm' to make more clear.
