Legally Social Delhi is back: Wednesday 27 November, Turqouise Cottage, Saket. Shake it.

TC Legally Social: Dancing not obligatory
TC Legally Social: Dancing not obligatory

To celebrate being a lawyer and managing to stay social, please gather on Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 7:30 PM onwards till 1:00 AM at TURQUOISE COTTAGE (popularly known as TC) at DLF Place Saket. It’ll be another fun and memorable night with a mix of interesting lawyers from firms, companies and courts, as well as Team Legally India.

We have also negotiated fantastic discounts for Legally Socialites: happy hours until 9:30 PM on alcohol (i.e. buy-one-get-one-free); and 25% off on food and alcohol after 9:30 PM.

Entry is free.

TC Saket is known for it’s famous “Rabbit Hole Wednesdays” where different musicians are jamming every week. They have a free valet parking service as well.

And it’s also Mini Cooper night at TC, where lawyers can get a chance to win a Mini Cooper car for one day. A Mini Cooper will be on display outside TC and there are fun giveaways, such as Mini badges and other goodies.

Finally, if you’ve forgotten the rules, don’t fret, it’s all very simple:

  • The first rule of Legally Social is: Everyone is equal at Legally Social. Please address each other by first names if possible.
  • Second rule: Leave allegiances and competition at the door.
  • Third rule: What happens at Legally Social stays at Legally Social - Chatham House Rule applies for all.

Bring your friends, colleagues and hapless bystanders who don’t mind partying with lawyers.

The event is presently only for qualified lawyers, and not for law students.

If you have any questions, please let us know in the comments or email us at

We look forward to seeing you there.

Team LI

Kian,

Bystanders who don't mind partying with lawyers refers to non-lawyers right?

Yeah, that's correct. Bring cool non-lawyers who are cool with lawyers, but not cool not-yet-lawyers (sorry).

The reason for our discrimination against law students in this case, is that we don't want it to turn into an internship and job fair... Nothing personal!

Hope to see you all there,
Kian

Asap, but no date confirmed as yet, sorry :(

Would January be too late? I won't be back in Mumbai for a little bit...

Given all the harassment incidents these days, I am disturbed that LI is advising us to "Shake It" at a place famous for "Rabbit Hole Wednesdays." I think we can all spend time at home with our own Turquoise Cottages, thank you very much.

If you identify yourself as D&C at Legally Social, I promise to make personally sure that no one lays hands on your Turqoise Cottage.

D&C is an absolute star.

Also, Kian, I'm sure you won't be able to live up to that promise. See you on Wednesday though. Maybe I'll identify myself as D&C just for fun!

Do we need to register or something beforehand?
Or can we just walk-in unannounced?

this is a great initiative especially for lawyers in firms and companies which lack an organisation like the bar council where the peers can meet, interact and make links with each other!
