Nischal Hindia, who had joined global liquor giant Diageo in 2013 as senior legal counsel from UBS India where he was country counsel, is set to leave the company, according to sources.

Hindia had been managing the litigation, corporate relations and sales verticals in the legal team, reporting to general counsel (GC) Mamta Sundara, who remains with the company.

The 2003-NLSIU Bangalore graduate had begun his career at Wadia Ghandy in Mumbai, before joining Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London for a year in 2006, followed by four years at Allen & Overy in London.

He returned to India in 2011.

Hindia declined to comment.

Hi - Any update on where he will go Kian? Is there any possibility of him returning to private practice and joining some ex-colleagues from years past?
