SAM partner Saanjh Purohit to join Facebook in-house

Former Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas partner Saanjh Purohit is set to join Facebook as associate general counsel, reported Bar & Bench.

A Nalsar Hyderabad alumnus, she joined the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas in 2006 and was made partner at SAM in 2015.

Purohit specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, environmental law, information technology and related advisory work.

We had reached out to her for comment yesterday but have not heard back.

SAM managing partner Pallavi Shroff and litigation head Tejas Karia gave Bar & Bench a statement that Facebook was “one of the firm’s top clients for a long time” and that her “transition will further deepen our relationship”.
