Exclusive: Alternative energy resources company Gadhia Solar Energy Systems has started its in house legal department by hiring intellectual property (IP) attorney Vinay Dwarkadas as its first general counsel.

Dwarkadas joined Gadhia Solar last month, having been an independent practitioner since July 2010 following a stint with IP firm R K Dewan & Co in Mumbai and partnership at Fox Mandal Delhi since June 2009, before which he was a founding member of Khaitan & Co’s IP practice in Mumbai.

“After 18 years practice in the legal profession, this in-house position and role is exciting and something to look forward to. I’ll finally have the experience of examining issues from a client’s perspective,” said Dwarkadas.

Gadhia Solar is a technology driven company that provides solar thermal energy systems using parabolic concentrated technology.
