IL&FS’ Damini Marwah to join Axis Bank as GC

IL&FS Financial Services legal head and general counsel (GC) Damini Marwah has quit, VCCircle first reported today, with Bar & Bench reporting today that she has joined Axis Bank as its general counsel to replace TS Asokraj who is retiring.

According to her profile on IL&FS’ site, she is a Mumbai University graduate, holds an LLM from Georgetown University in the US and specialises in project finance, corporate finance, structure finance, private equity and regulatory. She was previous senior vice president with Citibank India.

She was also a star in ICICI Bank and literally taught PFG work to most of the present day team.

As someone who has worked with the ICICI legal team, I would take it as slander if you said the present state of the ICICI legal, or their levels of understanding of PF, was the result of someone's tutoring.
