Argus co-founder Ramya Hariharan leaves UUA

Argus Partners co-founder Ramya Hariharan has resigned from Udwadia Udeshi & Argus Partners, as first reported by Bar & Bench.

Hariharan confirmed her departure but declined to comment further when contacted.

Argus co-founder Krishnava Dutt did not respond to a phone call seeking comment at the time of going to press, but told Bar & Bench, that he wished her all the best.

Hariharan was a principal associate at Amarchand Mangaldas before setting up Argus with Dutt in Kolkata in 2009, later branching out to Delhi and Mumbai and merging with Mumbai firm Udwadia & Udeshi in 2012.

Hasn't Mr. Udeshi also parted ways with UUA? Is the firm still called Udwadia Udeshi and Argus?

Krishnava remains the king of Kolkata - I had heard that the firm is even advising on the ongoing TATA Steel merger and has worked on a few other decent deals in the last few years! Kian, please confirm.

Krishnave is not based in Kolkata for years now. soon after setting up the Kolkata office argus expanded to Mumbai. krishnava re located and has been running the Mumbai office since. ramya used to head the Kolkata corporate practice. they have another parter for disputes, which I believe to be the main revenue earner for the Kolkata practice.
