AZB Mumbai makes CAM-lateral Harsh Maggon, Sugandha Asthana partners

AZB & Partners Mumbai has promoted Harsh Maggon and Sugandha Asthana to its partnership, according to a press release.

Maggon and Asthana are both 2007 Symbiosis Law School graduates.

Maggon joined Economic Laws Practice (ELP) after graduating in 2007, then moved to DSK Legal in 2008, followed by Amarchand Mangaldas in 2012 and AZB in 2016 as a counsel, as we had reported at the time.

Asthana began her career at ICICI Bank, joined J Sagar Associates (JSA) in 2008, and AZB in 2014 as a senior associate.

Biggest difference- AZB gives you what you are promised.

Ananya and Asthana both starter with ICICI, however Ananya became partner in 2015 and now Asthana. Harsh is different class and not comparable with anyone.

Congratulations to both of them. I have worked with Harsh and know him to a wonderful lawyer. What's CAM' (big) loss is AZB's gain.

Azb making news on partners.., and partner vaidyanadhan iyer goes on a sabbatical.. Is the new partner hires and expansion at azb affect the existing (burden) lot? Time will tell...

Vaidhya's sabbatical actually ended about a month back. The new hires and expansion might or might not be affecting the existing lot - that's a separate discussion. But not sure what you are trying to say here by talking about a sabbatical which ended a month back.
