Economic Laws Practice (ELP) has promoted eight of its associate partners to partner level, following two weeks after promoting two Pune lawyers to associate partner level.

Four of the promotees are in the tax practice and two in dispute resolution, with Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi hand Chennai all getting new partners.

  • Jitendra Motwani, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Mumbai
  • Karthik Sundaram, Tax, Chennai
  • Kumar Visalaksh, Tax, Delhi
  • Ranjeet Mahtani, Tax, Mumbai
  • Ravisekhar Nair, Competition Law & Policy, Delhi

This takes ELP to 26 partners and associates partners.

Yeah they bill you at higher rates but pay you the same and basically dangle the carrot in front of you.

For a firm whose generates ~65-70%+ of its revenue & profit from the ManagingP's Tax & Tax Lit team are you really surprised that promotions are Tax heavy...

Whole heartedly agree - RPS is ELP, without him in Tax, Lit & Trade the firm wouldn't be what it is
The promotions just show where the real power & profit center is

How can anyone be surprised.....when the other partners have been riding on the coat tails of Rohan for years now... Rohan is ELP, there is no ELP without him.....
