Yogesh Bhattarai, who left AZB & Partners’ equity partnership in 2012 for a sabbatical, has joined Trilegal.

Bhattarai, who left in May 2012 to travel in India as reported by Legally India at the time, has joined Trilegal as a corporate equity partner in Mumbai.

Trilegal co-founding partner Karan Singh commented in an emailed statement: “Yogesh is a strong addition to the firm’s corporate practice.

“He brings with him many years of experience at some of the top firms in the country, has strong technical skills and fits in well with the firms culture and ethos. We are very excited to have him join the partnership.”

Bhattarai is a 1997 NLSIU Bangalore graduate who started his career with Wadia Ghandy, having joined AZB after a stint with Nishith Desai Associates in 2002.

He was not reachable for comment at the time of going to press.
