IndusLaw rents bigger space in Hyd, promotes four associates

IndusLaw moved to a bigger office in Hyderabad and promoted a principal associate and three senior associates in Bangalore, but made no new partners this year.

The firm moved to a new office in Banjara hills Hyderabad on 5 July. Bangalore partner Kartik Ganapathy told Legally India that the new space has more conference rooms than the older office. IndusLaw Bangalore-based partner Srinivas Katta heads Hyderabad, while partner Satyasree Akella is based in the Hyderabad office.

Nikhilesh Rao, a senior associate in the litigation and dispute resolution practice in Bangalore was made principal associate. He joined the firm in 2005. He handles civil and commercial litigation, real estate, and white collar crimes according to a press release from IndusLaw.

Anupama Hebbar and Mohan PS, who were associates in the Bangalore litigation practice, were made senior associates. Corporate and securities practice associate Pallavi Kanakagiri was also promoted to senior associate.

Hebbar graduated from NLSIU Bangalore in 2008 and joined IndusLaw in December 2011, Mohan graduated from Mysore University’s law college in 2000 and Kanakagiri graduated from Bangalore University in 2009 and joined IndusLaw in June 2010.

The firm now has two principal associates – both in the dispute resolution practice – eight equity partners, and a retained partner.

In June Pramod Rao, the founding partner of the firm’s Mumbai office who had joined from ICICI Bank last year, left to join Citibank as general counsel.
