K Law down 2: Link's Ajay Sawhney leaves after 12 months, RIL partner Praveen Raju set up own shop last year

K Law partner Ajay Sawhney, who had joined only a year ago from Link Legal, is leaving the firm, according to authoritative sources and Bar & Bench.

Sawhney had joined K Law in April of 2015 from Link Legal.

Sawhney and K Law managing partner Naina Krishnamurthy were unavailable for comment when contacted earlier this month.

His move follows that of former K Law Mumbai partner Praveen Raju, who was key to the K Law - Reliance Industries relationship, who had set up Spice Route Legal 10 months ago according to his Linked-in profile.

Thanks Kian, waiting for an update on this! He's a great projects lawyer and will be a definite catch! For what its worth, I believe he carries a significant 'book size' as well.

the info that I got is ajay and manvi mahajan have exited almost 2-3 weeks back. the rest of the team is intact.
So in addition to gautham, young stars milind, arun, nidhi and deepak continue.

Another move....too soon....hope doesn't translate to mass exodus like last time with Link Legal....K Law has lost a stalwart....ajay and Gautham are inseparable and have a long career to go.....i feel the entire team may be planning to leave together....just show it in stages.....
