K Law Delhi partner Gautham Srinivas will join Khaitan & Co in Delhi as a capital markets partner.

Srinivas had joined K Law in April 2015 with Ajay Sawhney, both of whom were partners at Link Legal at the time (Sawhney has since joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas).

Srinivas had joined Amarchand Mangaldas, as it then was, in 2004 after graduating from NLSIU Bangalore, joining Link Legal in 2013.

Khaitan executive director Amar Sinhji confirmed when contacted that Srinivas would be joining, and said that the firm would now have a national capital markets practice with partners in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi.

He added that this was in line with the firm’s strategy of growing several practices across all offices, particularly, real estate, IP, tax and competition, in addition to capital markets.

“All our practices now function as nationally integrated practices across all our offices, with a common binding strategy and focus,” he said.
