Former Lexygen partner Roshan Thomas joined Themis Associates as a partner this month.

Thomas had been with the firm for seven years after joining as partner from Nishith Desai & Associates (NDA) where he was an associate from 2003 to 2006. He graduated from Nalsar Hyderabad in 2003.

Thomas declined to comment when contacted and said Themis would not comment as a matter of internal policy.

Themis Associates is the legal arm of Themis Group which, according to its website, is an integrated full service law, compliance, finance and tax practice group, focussed on venture capital and private equity transactions. It also includes compliance and legal support services company Themis Lex Private Limited and financial and tax consultancy Themis Lexsol Consulting LLP.

Lexygen founding partner Vijay Sambamurthi commented: “Roshan’s been an important member of the Lexygen team since the inception of the firm and has worked closely with me for close to ten years.
