Link Legal grows to 8 finance partners by hiring AZB’s Ashutosh Narang

Link Legal India Law Services has hired AZB & Partners senior associate Ashutosh Narang as an associate partner in its Mumbai banking and finance team.

Narang focuses on structured finance, debt capital markets, debt restructuring, banking, private equity and general corporate advisory, according to the firm’s press release.

He is a Symbiosis Pune graduate, who began his career at ICICI Bank as a manager in 2006, completed an LLM at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009, and then joined Wadia Ghandy for four years.

In 2014 he had moved to AZB

Managing partner Atul Sharma and co-managing partner AG Karkhanis said in the press release that he was “a very good addition to our banking and finance team”, which now consisted of eight partners led by Karkhanis.

Congrats to Ashu. But this was bound to happen. Promoting the new CAM lot over the existing AZB talent pool was sure to lead to discontent within the ranks. If rumours are true, this is only the first trickle of the bloodletting.
