Saurabh Tiwary is a gem in Luthra's crown! Down to earth, hardworking and the universal go to guy for foreign investment and RBI issues at Luthra! Very well deserved, a true star!

Karan Mitroo is another fantastic lawyer! Unlike most other Luthra partners Karan has a steady loyal clientele of his own and has fantastic work ethic!

Kanika and Shikhar deserve to be partners and not designate!

Overall, good show Luthra! Nice to see the real talent getting recognized!

Are these people equity partners? Also, will the partner designates be made partners next year?

These so called "partners D" are not equity partners. This is just being created to fool clients and foreign law firms which are about to enter in Indian market to create a cloud that we have so many partners in the firm. 2008 graduate promoted as partner [...], 2003 graduate promoted as partner [...], 2005 being promoted as partner [...] and so on, some 'blue eyed boy's' teams are given best teams in lit with no criteria which only god knows.

It's interesting to know that 2013 grads kids, irrespective of the fact that they have completed 3 years into the profession or not effectively, promoted as Sr. Asso. What a joke !

By the way, congrats to Ms. Geetika and Shiv !! Behti promotion kee ganga mein sab promote ho Gaye !!

Let's just accept that the teams of both the blue eyed boys are the best litigation teams in the firm, indeed. Not many would disagree.

Dear Insider- [...] and [...] were long overdue for a promotion. [...] has over a decade of PQE and [...] has been with the firm for a decade. Just because you are still making photocopies on the [...]th floor for your lame partner does not mean that everyone else does not deserve to move up in life. Dont make me come and thwack you!

2008/09 graduates being made partners. What a joke the partner tag has become in Indian law firms. Not one penny these graduates can get on their own from clients either for lack of experience or knowledge or sometimes both.

You might want to relook the list of those promoted. Some are older vintages. One is much much older - 15 plus years in the profession. Think before you shoot from the hip and flail around like a turkey!

And you live under which rock? All tier one firms have a practice of promoting between 8-10 years PQE as salaried partners.. That's market practice..

Aditya Periwal is the most deserving. The best lawyer Luthra has in Bombay and probably the only one with his own book!

All these positive comments! Makes me wonder.. Are they for real? Is it some gimmick to show L&L in good light for once?

Luthra has recently hired a communications and media head and has given more responsibility to Nishant Venkat. May be is a function of that!
