MDP & Partners added former Elara Capital global legal head Rakesh Puri, as an associate partner and head of the firm’s banking and capital markets practice.

Puri has an experience of over 20 years heading the legal function of various private companies including Crompton Greaves, LMCO, Pittie Cement & Industries and the Indian subsidiary of CA Technologies before joining Elara Capital in January 2007, according to Circle.

Puri, who also started up Exact Advisory & Consulting in 2012, commented to VC Circle: “Collaborative work is the need of the hour and that’s why I have taken this decision.
