from Senior Associate to Partner, thats how it should be!! Hope other firms are reading this.
No Associate Partner, Principal Associate, Managing Associate & other fancy designations!!

Do you even know about Wadia? It does have two of these designations.

but these 5 were Senior Associates as reported on Bar & Bench, so they surpassed these designations then??!!

Salaried Partners are not Partners. That is the same designation as an Associate Partner.

Just that there was a good long years gap and a stint at Lovell's in Singapore. Just FYI.
Sure they do! 30 Mar 2015, 12:09

Aren't these guys too young to become partners? Surely 6-8 years is well below the average age for becoming partners at Tier I/Tier II firms.

I must mention that I haven't worked with any of the lawyers mentioned. They may well be brilliant to justify the early promotion, but still...

Yes, too soon! They will leave after some years & join one of the big 4.

As everyone knows by now, a Senior Associate in Big 4 is paid more than a Partner in Tier II firm!!

@8.2 Aston

Big 4? Last I heard it was the Big 6. Or have we already started eliminating Amarchand (undivided and split) and Luthra from the mix?

Partners promoted,some pretty young,
The deed is done, the fat lady has sung,
Show them all, force them to rethink,
Soar to the sky, when they expect you to sink..

Desperate attempt to keep people. Now there are less SAs then partners and majority of associates are freshers only. An era of WG ends

They have promoted around 5 associates to senior associate designation. Just that it hasn't been reported here. And about end of WG era you definitely haven't seen there bills/clientale (old and new). corporate might be weak at the moment but wouldn't it be foolish not to acknowledge there presence in real estate practice? There has been alot of attrition and no positive upward revision in salaries but they have gone on hiring spree as far as recruiting associates are concerned and have also increased their base pay package (I am sure about this bit and you can confirm it independently with new recruits and figures on law octopus are therefore stale)
