AZB & Partners has promoted corporate, M&A and private equity counsel Kunal Kumbhat - who had joined less than a year ago after six years at Trilegal - to its partnership.

Kumbhat, an NLU Jodhpur 2006 graduate with a 2007 LLM from London School of Economics (LSE), had been an associate at Allen & Overy (A&O) from 2007 until 2012 in London.

After that he joined at-the-time A&O best-friend Trilegal in Mumbai, where he rose to counsel rank before leaving in May 2018.

In July 2018 he had joined AZB & Partners.
