AZB & Partners has promoted two to partner across Delhi and Mumbai:

  • Pranav Atit, general corporate, Mumbai, and
  • Abhimanyu Chopra, dispute resolution, Delhi.

AZB also promoted a total of five fee-earners to counsel:

  • Apeksha Mattoo, employment, Mumbai.
  • Aman Gera, general corporate and fintech, Delhi.
  • Jatinder Singh Saluja, general corporate and employment, Delhi.

Kaustubh Nandan Sinha, general corporate and dispute resolution, Delhi.

Priyank Ladoia, dispute resolution and white-collar crime, Delhi.

In October 2020, AZB Delhi promoted Punita Gupta to partner.

What a stark difference between AZB and Khaitan. One promoted only 2 to partners, and the other promoted almost 30. One focuses on the quality and the other only on its quantity. No wonder Khaitan is treated like a retirement firm. If you want to take it slow in life and not worry about your quality of work, just move to Khaitan

If you say these lawyers at AZB are top lawyers because of Amarchand, it doesn't speak well for the Amarchand brand because they have left Amarchand and are choosing to be at AZB

AZB has been beating Amarchands at several high value deals, probably because they have taken their "top" lawyers.Maybe that's why AZB is inching Amarchands out of the top reigning position of legal industry,take a look at last year's pandemic deals if you don't believe me.
