Former Baker & McKenzie Thailand senior associate Rupinder Malik has joined J Sagar Associates (JSA) as a retained partner in Gurgaon on 1 February 2012.

She was previously at Baker’s Thailand office for nine years and specialises in general corporate commercial, mergers & acquisitions, and international trade and World Trade Organisation (WTO) law and litigation.

She completed her LLB from Punjab University in 1995.

Malik told Legally India she had recently moved back to India but declined to comment further.

This has been JSA’s second partner hire in the last three months. At the end of October 2011, Herbert Smith international arbitration senior associate Pramod Nair joined the Bangalore office of the firm as salaried partner, reported Legally India.
