CAM Mumbai litigator Bhalchandra Palav joins Link Legal as partner

Link Legal India Law Services has hired Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) Mumba-based principal associate Bhalchandra Palav has joined as a partner in the dispute resolution team.

The 2000 New Law College, Mumbai graduate had been at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas since 2007, after having worked as independent counsel at the Bombay high court for six years before.

His disputes sub-specialisations, according to Link Legal’s press release, are commercial and banking (securitisation and recovery of debts and IBC), civil, property and constitutional disputes.

Link Legal said that he has worked in recovery matters, real estate projects, winding-up petitions and also gets into “formulation of strategy and arguments” for clients.

Link Legal managing partner Atul Sharma and co-managing partner Nusrat Hassan both congratulated Bhalchandra on his joining and wished him well.

CAM commented: “We wish him luck.”

Congratulations Bhau. Am glad you got out of that toxic environment and will be able to know showcase your full potential.

Not all partners need to be rainmakers but all partners should ideally be good lawyers and have ability to run a matter in litigation.

You have all the skill sets to succeed. Definitely a great grab for Link Legal. People in CAM may feel that it's not a loss, cos we only see the numbers, but it's people like him with almost 10 years in the firm who contributed to its journey.
