Clarence Andre Anthony: Trilegal’s 53rd partner

Embassy Office Parks acting general counsel Clarence Anthony, who had been on secondment to the real estate developer from Trilegal since April, has returned to the law firm in Bangalore with a promotion into its equity partnership, in news that was first reported by Bar & Bench.

Anthony specialises in M&A, private equity and funds and focuses on work in regulated sectors such as insurance, aviation, financial services and real estate, and has more recently worked on deals in manufacturing, technology, and renewables.

Trilegal partner Charandeep Kaur congratulated Anthony in a press release: “He has continued to impress us with his strong work ethic and his ability to think laterally with a problem-solving approach.”

The 2009 GLC Mumbai graduate is also a visiting lecturer at the IIM Lucknow and co-author of the IFLR India M&A Report 2019. He is dual qualified solicitor of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society and of England & Wales.

Anthony had begun his career at JurisCorp in 2006 as a legal trainee and joined Trilegal in 2011 in Delhi and Bangalore.

He is Trilegal’s 53rd partner, following its promotion of six new partners in March.

CZA is the champ! Absolute delight to work with given his humongous knowledge and non-agressive behaviour.

They say, during his JC days, he was known to pull all nighters, go to College and sometimes return back to work. Finally, hard work pays off.

All the very best!

Photo caption is Clarency Anthony. Lol. Kian, what are these constant goof ups on photos. Sort of feels like these are on purpose now to troll the readers (unless that is his full name).

Thanks, have corrected the typo. But to be honest, if it was intentional, we could have probably found better ways to troll :)

He made himself an equity partner in 10 years? Is he one of the fastest to reach equity? Doesnt it take atleast 8 years to just make a partner (3 as A, 2 as SA and 3 as PA)? How much will he make now?

Since when does Charandeep give press releases? Looks like Trilegal is going out of it's way to show that all is well. Good for them. Hopefully this will reflect in daily operations as well.

'Harsh' Paisa has promoted 4 partners - Upasana Rao, Kunal Shah, Arnav Dayal and now Clarence Anthony. Wonder which other partner in trilegal has such phenomenal mentoring ability.

Star team under star lawyer? Paisa & Co has presence now in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Heard of Akshay Jaitly, Nishant Parish and Sitesh Mukherjee? Each of them have promoted 4 Partners each across offices and much earlier in time.

He has been JOINTLY promoted by harsh and upasana. Due credit for mentoring him should be given to upasana who has played a significant role in shaping Clarence's present identity.

Congratulations, Clarence. Extremely well deserved.

He should have definitely made it to partnership atleast a year back!
But why 7 Oct 2019, 14:21

Wonder what held him back then - clearly not competence or book (if Harsh was sponsoring him). Anyhow we’ll deserved - many congratulations!
