Dua promotes 2 to equity, 4 to salaried partnership

Dua Associates has promoted two partners to equity and four to salaried partnership, reported Bar & Bench.

  • Hetal Thakore - Mumbai (disputes)

  • Kapil Mahajan - Gurgaon (corporate)

Your 2016 article about the merger said that Hetal Thakore became a Dua equity partner as a part of the merger (which makes sense being a named partner of Thakore Jariwala).

Very good point, well spotted. Our information was attributed and came from Bar & Bench back then also - I guess 'equity' back then isn't the same as equity now? Or Dua said it was equity back then, because they had been equity partners in their own firm, but maybe equity wasn't fully ready yet? Will reach out and see if I can confirm...
