Ex-Luthra, Dua partner Amaresh Kumar Singh joins HSA for real estate, disputes

Former L&L Partners partner Amaresh Kumar Singh, who has been independent lawyer since February 2019, has joined HSA Advocates as a partner.

He specialises in real estate, and civil and commercial litigation, having previously also been at Dua Associates from 1996 until 2007, leaving as a partner.

He acts for private equity funds, real estate developers, financial institutions, overseas funds and government funds, according to HSA’s press release, including work such as “comprehensive title verification and due diligence of lands/properties on a pan India basis”.

In disputes, he primarily works on arbitration, writs, security enforcement, insolvency, company matters, criminal jurisdiction, property, title, tenancy and rent laws, according to HSA.

Juniors he promoted right since the dua days and trusted, breached his trust. In Luthra, he was fighting the lone battle for long and gave it up in the end.

Amaresh built real estate practice of Luthra. Alas, firm forgot his contributions and promoted/showcased mostly his juniors before him. Having worked with him earlier, it was always seamless to work with him. He is the man with less ego and more participation.
