Ex-SRGR, Khaitan real estate partner, consultant Abhishek Awasthi joins AZB Delhi

Khaitan & Co consultant Abhishek Awasthi, who had joined in August 2014 from SRGR Law Offices where he was a partner, has joined AZB & Partners in Noida as a senior associate to expand its real estate team.

AZB Delhi managing partner Ajay Bahl commented that the firm was “very pleased” with his joining.

The real estate practice in Delhi is headed by Hardeep Sachdeva, though a number of partners worked in the area, said Bahl.

The 2007-graduate had joined Khaitan on a partnership track but declined to comment when contacted.

Khaitan Mumbai partner Rabindra Jhunjhunwala commented that he wished him well.

from partner to consultant to senior associate...thats quite a dip in the designation....but yes KCO and AZB are much much better firms compared to SRGR.

Good choice! Even being a consultant at AZB is better than being a partner / equity partner at Khaitan!
