HSA Advocates has hired SNG & Partners principal associate Amit Charan as a partner in its Delhi office, according to the firm’s press release.

He had begun his career at Rajinder Narain & Co, as it then was, in 2003. In 2005 he had joined SNG for a year, before joining Luthra & Luthra, as it then was, for nearly three years.

After a stint at J Sagar Associates (JSA), he then returned to SNG in 2012.

Charan specialises primarily in banking and finance work, including project finance, structured finance, asset finance, acquisition finance, bond issuance, ECB, RBI’s corrective action plan implemented through JLF, multiple banking, consortium lending, syndication, structured loan / financial products of banks and NBFCs.

Charan is the latest in a series of hires following eight HSA partners leaving for DSK.

Charan is also the second to join HSA as a partner in finance, following the hire of boutique firm founder Geeta Saha in Mumbai last month.

On the corporate side, since April the firm had also added independent Vatsal Gaur as associate partner in Delhi, and Azure Power general counsel Dipti Lavya Swain in Delhi as partner and Kochhar & Co partner Gaurav Sahay in Bangalore.
