What is the real story at Indus? Seemas to dominate mid market deals and hiring big time, but seems to be losing most of their lateral hires.

Real story is the start-up story :
- inflated valuation and high projections to incoming investors (read laterals)
- not enough actual business or strategy to keep the investor happy
- eventually investor realises and questions promoters
- promoters don't like being questioned. Also, don't care because they already kept the upside of the investor's investment, and ofcourse so many other VCs looking out in the market
- old investor exits
- new investor comes in expecting great value, business opportunity
- cycle repeats.

Guess they've learnt from their start-up clients.

Don't think any of these firms give any projections about themselves to so called investors. It's invariably is always the other way round.

How big a firm is, what the firm's client base is, what are the opportunities, potential of a practice, the firm's vision etc etc - all of these are projections! Wake up, Sid!
Everything is not about some business plan a partner makes.
