Juris Corp has hired former FoxMandal litigation co-head and partner Sandeep Kumar Mahapatra for its Delhi office.

Mahapatra qualified in 2002 from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Delhi, having specialised in criminal, civil corporate and commercial litigation, as well as arbitration.

He has taken up Juris Corp partnership from 15 February to head the firm’s dispute resolution practice in Delhi.

Mahapatra said in a press release that it would be a “challenging assignment”.

Mahapatra became a Fox Mandal partner in January 2011.

FoxMandal Delhi managing partner Som Mandal was not reachable for comment by telephone at the time of going to press.

What more do you expect when FM, Noida management does not pay current and past retainers their areears even after getting 8 crores from Little. Obviously retainers shall start leaving one by one.

Earlier FM, Noida management was raising the bogey of late clearance of fee bills as an alibi to deny the timely monthly payments to its past and present retainer lawyers who are now in almost four month arrears, but what excuse is there now to delay the payment of dues after having received the huge settlement amount from Little. Instead the Managing partner chooses to go to US on a long trip. From the five promoted partners, three have already left in less than a year. Most unfortunate state of affairs....hats off to the patience shown by retainers and not shown by a few others.
