Link Legal hires P&A’s Ketan Mukhija, Guarav Priyadarshi & team as partners

Link Legal India Law Services has hired P&A Ketan Mukhija as partner in the corporate commercial practice group of the Firm.

Link Legal India Law Services has hired P&A Law Offices corporate partner Ketan Mukhija in its corporate commercial practice.

He then worked at Vaish Associates for a year before in 2014 joining the Kanoria Group and SREI.

Mukhija is joining with a team, with Guarav Priyadarshi joining as associate partner, Amit Kr Bhatnotra coming on board as a principal associate, Apurv Ranjan as a senior associate and Karishma Singh and Rupendra Gautam as Associates.

Priyadarshi, a 2011 HNLU Raipur graduate, had previously also worked in-house at ICICI and law firms, and also has experience in banking.

Mukhija had joined P&A in 2018 for the third stint in his career at the firm from SREI Infrastructure Finance.

He had begun his career at P&A after graduating in 2007 from Nalsar Hyderabad, in 2008 moved to international firm Herbert Smith for a year, returning to P&A from 2009 until 2013, a one year stint at Vaish Associates and in 2014 moving to SREI Infrastructure Finance in-house.

According to Link Legal’s press release Mukhija specialises in M&A and corporate and commercial deals.

Managing partner Atul Sharma said in the press release: “We’re extremely delighted to welcome Ketan Mukhija, Gaurav Priyadarshi and the team. Our strategy has always been to provide top notch expertise combined with client-focused legal service. I am sure they will play a key role in delivering this and further contribute in strengthening the firm’s capability in the respective practices areas.”

We have reached out to P&A for comment.

Link Legal has recently hired two from HSA, lost one partner to Indus and one from in-house.

Why would someone quit HSF/Linklaters and come back to India? Aren't the work hours way better and the pay real good? At my college, getting through a magic circle firm is the ultimate goal.

Why do Indian mid-size firm have no much churn of lateral partners?
It seems except for founders, rest all partners are on a round-robin system of 2 year tenures.
