Link Legal hires Sun solar in-houser Abhishek Sharma as associate partner in land + RE

Link Legal India Law Services has hired Abhishek Sharma as associate partner specialising in land and real estate, according to a press release from the firm.

He is a 2002 graduate of Dr BR Ambedkar University Agra and has experience in land acquisitions, land affairs, land disputes and land due diligence.

Before joining Link Legal he was general manager / head for land acquisition and government liaisoning at the Sun Group’s solar division in Gurgaon.

Sharma had previously worked in the real estate and power sectors, including at Niranjana Resorts, Renew Power, Acme Group, MB Power, Unitech, Bajaj Hindustan and PACL India.

With his joining, Link Legal India Law Services has 34 partners.

Yeh Link Legal waale apna naam badal kyu nahi dete hai to Real Estate Legal? Waise to RE aur infra ke siva kuchh karne ka teams bhi nahi hai. Re-branding kar lo bhai log. Specialisation is key.

Offlate, hearing good things about LinkLegal...they surely are hiring at a decent clip at all levels I understand...its very important for such mid level firms to find their niche and build on it...good luck to them.

Ya.. imagine the state of affairs when the firm's head office is moving from Janpath to some shady locale in the back alleys of ITO/NDLS Rly Station.. Maha cost cutting. Plus they are still running on some 30-40% payout across all levels since March.

Kian, can you find out the reason for his shift from inhouse to lawfirm and that too, after 18 years of inhouse role in multiple organisations? Normally, we do understand people moving from lawfirm to inhouse for work life balance, etc. but not the other way round.
And also, how a lawfirm like Link Legal can get benefit from such a move - is it his connections for new revenue streams (execution capability would be doubtful) or just filling the partner count?
