Khaitan indirect tax senior exec director Nihal Kothari passed away yesterday

Nihal Kothari, executive director in Khaitan & Co’s indirect tax team in Mumbai, passed away yesterday.

The firm commented: “It is with regret & deep sorrow that we inform you about the sudden demise of Nihal Kothari. He was a much respected senior partner of the Firm. Our thoughts & prayers are with his Family.”

He was a 1972 qualified chartered accountant and has been executive director at Khaitan since 2007.

He was one of the leaders of the Khaitan tax practice.

RIP. Although i have never met him, it is indeed sad to hear especially since he was from the profession.

Had interacted with Mr Kothari during my association with KCO.

Gentleman and always helpful

Real gem of a person. He was very polite and respectful irrespective of your age or level. May his souls RIP.
