SAM picks up AZB partner (Symbi 07) Sugandha Asthana for Mumbai corporate

dc:AZB & Partners 2016-promoted partner Sugandha Asthana has resigned and is set to join Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.

Earlier this year she had acted on US-listed Arrow Electronics’ purchase of eInfochips for $300m, with partner Darshika Kothari.

The 2007 SLS Pune graduate had joined AZB in 2014 as a senior associate and was promoted two years later.

She had begun her career in-house at ICICI Bank, and then moved to J Sagar Associates (JSA) in 2008 until 2014.

AZB Mumbai managing partner Zia Mody commented: “We wish her all the best and were happy with the time Sugandha spent with us at AZB.”

AZB has exactly one partner. Everybody else can be classified as Cabin-wala Associates.
