Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas corporate and M&A salaried partner Sourav Kanti De Biswas has resigned, according to authoritative sources. It is understood from sources that he will be taking some time off.

He was working as a partner in the team of outgoing Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi corporate equity partner Akila Aggarwal, who is expected to join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in early August.

Biswas had been promoted to salaried partnership in 2015, having joined the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas firm in 2008.

Biswas is a 2005 NUJS Kolkata graduate, who had begun his career in-house at Reliance Communications, followed by Avaya as legal and contracts manager.

Earlier this week, Aggarwal’s team member and principal associate Mukul Sharma had joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

It stops at Noida, Barakhamba Road, Okhla, Saket and then heads to Gurgaon. It's called the Dilli Firm Special. I hear the seats are superbly comfortable though some of the occupants are best suited to take rickshaws.

Batch mates Deepto and Mithun were made Equity Partners at the same time when he was made a salaried partner. So much for loyalty towards Shardul Shroff...!!! That said SSS and PSS have always ignored home grown talents and have given preference to outsiders !!!

Definition of Loyalty is something different in SAM. It's more equivalent to being close to Shroffs - anything else doesn't matter.
