Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas partner Vidyut Gulati will join Cairn India on 22 December 2015 as its general counsel (GC).

She replaces Anshuman Sharma who left Cairn India in July to join another energy company.

The legal team at Cairn India consists of around 10 people. Gulati declined to comment when contacted.

She had joined the firm in 2006 as a lateral hire from Dua Associates and was promoted to partnership in 2012.
