Legally India reliably understands that Jones Day Singapore capital markets partner and India head Manoj Bhargava and of counsel Ankit Kashyap have agreed to join top US firm Sidley in Singapore, only several months after Sidley’s capital markets partner in Singapore, Prabhat Mehta, moved to the firm’s New York office full time.

It is understood that Bhargava will join as a partner.

Sidley’s Singapore office is headed by capital markets and finance partner Matthew Sheridan.

We have reached out to Bhargava and Mehta for comment.

Legally India had first reported on Monday that Bhargava and Kashyap had quit.
