Singhania & Partners LLP has promoted Delhi-based

associate partner Abhimeet Sinha to partner and principal associate Gunjan Gupta to associate partner.

Abhimeet Sinha specialises in government advisory, renewable energy, infrastructure, banking and project finance practice work, according to the firm.

Managing partner Ravi Singhania said that Sinha had acted as lender’s legal counsel in power projects worth more than $2.586bn (Rs 17,300 crores) since joining the firm in 2011, adding that there would be “more promotions soon as firm wants to develop its existing resources in leadership roles with its expansion plans”.

Gunjan Gupta specialises in corporate and M&A.

The firm has also promoted associates Kanika Tandon and Shashaank Bhansali to senior associate in the international arbitration and litigation department.

In December, Singhania had opened its fourth national office, in Gurgaon.

Singhania & Partners now has a total of 15 partners, of whom 2 are founder partners, 5 are equity partners, and 8 are non-equity partners or associate partners.

Stake in equity, I'd assume. Associate Partner is just a sham designation, it's essentially what other firms call "Principal Associate"
