CNLU Patna grads turn around dire 2014 placements into 15 desk jobs, 2 clerkships, 7 lit, 12 LLMs

CNLU Patna’s class of 63 graduates this year has secured 17 named jobs, with only one through an internship via campus recruitments and the remaining offers won by students’ independent initiative.

Athena Law Associates recruited one student through a pre-placement offer (PPO) secured in an internship attained through campus.

Eight other law firms, including Fox Mandal RDA Legal Kolkata and Wadia Ghandy, legal process outsourcing (LPO) company Quislex and a corporate recruited 14 graduates, while two graduates secured Supreme Court judicial clerkships.

Seven graduates joined litigation in various forums and 12 obtained LLM admissions, with four going overseas, as set out below.

Two graduates began their own entrepreneurial ventures in coaching and photography.

The class had zero confirmed jobs until April this year, as Athena had made two offers subject to internships and nine students awaited interview results of LPO Mindcrest which the students had brought to campus recruitment by pooling in money for its executives’ flight fare, as reported by Legally India at the time.

Legally India has already reported that AIL Mohali placed 35 out of 80 2014 graduates,RGNUL placed six out of 70 2014 graduates, Big Six law firm jobs made up 16 out of 45 jobs bagged by NLU Delhi 2014 graduates, 25 out of 42 jobs bagged by NLSIU 2014 graduates, 25 out of 72 jobs bagged by NUJS 2014 graduates, and 26 out of 71 jobs bagged by Nalsar 2014 graduates.

None of the Big Six visited HNLU’s campus where 29 out of 81 graduates secured jobs, while RMLNLU set a new institutional record with 45 jobs for its 150 graduates this year, and NUALS placed one-third of its 2014 graduates.

Editor’s note: We are reaching out to other 2014 recruitment committees who have now graduated. We remain hopeful that GNLU Gandhinagar, Christ Bangalore, NLIU Bhopal and NLU Jodhpur will disclose soon. Please get in touch with us at to arrange sharing the final figures.

I think you meant "don't LOSE heart".
Loosing your heart would entail open heart surgery.

Rather, it looks quite stunning! And very easy on the eyes. Good colour combination too. Very majestic, in short.

Wish the inmates had better hopes for emancipation...then the ones currently on offer.

Waste of public money building law schools like this when there are not enough jobs available. The Bihar lobby should ask the govt to liberalise the legal sector, create an all-India judicial service, ensure better pay for junior advocates etc

That is because starting institutions is also a tendering process for the government and the ministers. Not necessarily for forwarding education. Get the implications? :)

NLU's?? It is quite surprising to see two (self-proclaimed) top NLU's viz. NLIU and NLUJ not release placement figures. Very suspicious...
