HNLU Raipur has appointed former Punjab University’s department of law chairman Prof Paramjit S Jaswal as its new vice chancellor for a term of five years, reported student website Lawctopus.

Jaswal was formerly also a director of University Institute of Legal Studies and was selected by a search committee headed by two retired judges V K Agrawal and SC Vyas and NUJS Kolkata vice chancellor Prof MP Singh.

Jaswal replaces the outgoing vice chancellor Dr Anand Pawar.
