NLU Delhi’s third batch that will graduate in 2015 has already placed 10 students with confirmed jobs after its Day Zero of recruitment on 4 April, with four offers subject to internships and three vacation placements with foreign firms.
A total of 12 offers were made on Day Zero by four law firms, of which eight were accepted by students.
Khaitan & Co was the top recruiter, hiring four students on Day Zero last week and offering two students jobs conditional to internships.
International firm Linklaters offered two students vacation schemes, while Herbert Smith Freehills offered one vacation placement. An RCC source said that at Linklaters a majority of vacation schemes had resulted in job offers in the past.
“Our main focus is to get maximum internships,” an RCC member told Legally India.
A total of 47 students participated in the RCC activities out of a total batch of 80.
Delhi’s first batch graduiated in 2013, its Day Zero tally less than one-third of what the law school has mustered this year, while the second batch improved this track record with 12 jobs offered on Day Zero in addition to three vacation schemes. It is understood that the second batch, graduating this year, is still finalising placements.
Last week NLU Jodhpur secured 12 offers for its batch of 92 with 55 participating in placements while NLSIU Bangalore was offered 33 jobs, including PPOs, for its batch of 70 with 54 participating students.

These are Day Zero figures and even NLS doesn't have 100% placement on Day Zero. Many students will get placed in 2014-15 academic year. In any event, why vent at a new law school, which is doing pretty well? Sour grapes? Or just petty minded venom?
I am not from NLU-D, but that doesn't mean I can't say your comments reek of ignorance.

Agreed but its a young college, and doing well given the competitive environment it is in.
The university has great location, no funding problems, an experienced VC and the best faculty out there. Its only a matter of time before they become no.2 or no.3.
Thats a little harsh i think. NALSAR and NUJS had no competition except one another (and of course big daddy NLS). NLUD in its 5th year is far far better as an institution than these two were but the job scene is not doing well because the market is bad and law firms themselves are not doing so well. It's certainly at par with NLU Jodhpur and NLU Bhopal to an extent that people would consider it as a realistic alternative to Jodhpur an dBhopal.
