Nuals Kochi year-old VC N Balu resigns

Nuals Kochi vice chancellor (VC) N Balu has resigned effectively from yesterday, a year after he was appointed the university’s VC, reported legal websites Bar & Bench and Live Law earlier today*.*

He said that his resignation was because he had to relocate to Chennai on personal grounds and had been offered a position at VIT university but was yet to decide on whether to take it up, according to Bar & Bench.

Balu is the first PhD degree holder in law in Tamil Nadu, according to Live Law, which reported that he has 30 years of teaching experience including a stint as Professor and Dean of Legal Affairs at the University of Madras.

The only VC who deserved to be up there. Always willing to help students, academically and otherwise. The entire administration apart from him is hopeless. Crores of rupees is getting scammed off, nothing comes out in national media. One investigation about the college and I guess it will have to close down.
