Run Bhopal Run: NLIU reaches out to gas tragedy victims

Students of NLIU Bhopal organised a run to show support for the victims of year 1984’s Bhopal Gas Tragedy on 2 December, through their student-run organisation People United for Law, Education and Rehabilitation (PULER).

PULER partnered with rehabilitation organisation Rajeev Smriti Gas Peedit Punarwaas Kendra (RSGPP) to organise the event a day before the anniversary on which citizens of the city commemorate the victims of the tragedy.

The 7 km run saw around 1000 participants mostly from Bhopal schools and colleges. Another part to the event included a poster-making competition for school-going children on 25 November. All activities were arranged by over 100 student volunteers of the law school, according to a press statement from the organisers.

Nonmous is bit harsh but its true. NLIUbhopal with its terrible location, zero faculty and massive MP reservation has become a byword for mediocrity. Why else would a college started one year before nujs be graded below even jodhpur by prospective employers and students? Its a good example of how Not to set up a premier law college. I personally know two applicants who gave NLIUBhopal a skip and went to ILS due to its shady label.

Dear Neutral ORB,

A mediocre mind thinks of jobs, cause thats what he thinks is the purpose of a National Law School. Perhaps you should have been at NLIU, and given it a true touch of mediocrity.

I think the comment on this post should have been something like "Good work NLIU Bhopal for bringing Bhopal together and showing some kind of positive energy................."
Find some other forum to show your frustration.........

A run??????Law colleges shud make news for the rt reasons. Any tom dick harry college can organise a run for a charitable cause. Or a concert or a streetplay. NLIU is obviously not able to do the stuff law schools shud be doing like sending folks to rhodes, harvard, placing students well, teaching better, yada yada so it resorts to these shady gimmicks. The fact that it is in the news for such things speaks volumes about where it is headed as an institution. May as well put up a circus act while they're at it.

You all will achieve greatness in live by talking about an institute...............trying to prove something...........but why are you all so concerned about NLIU.........better find a job for yourself.....
