[[Law Centre I (LC-I) Delhi University]] finished as semi-finalist and received honourable mention awards at the Foreign Direct Investment International Moot Competition held at Pepperdine University School of Law, Malibu, California, which may hold South Asian selection rounds in future.

Speakers Subhiksh Vasudev and Rajbir Singh Bathla both won honourable mentions at this Tier 5 International Moot.

The moot’s organiser Christian Campbell confirmed that Murdoch University won the competition with 32 teams participating, including four from India.

He added that given the high level of interest this competition has received from India, the organizers are considering establishing a regional round for the Indian subcontinent.

LC-I earned a total of nine points from the moot (three points each for the semi-final and two honourable mention awards).

LC-I, with 15 points, now stands at joint ninth position with [[Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad]] and [[NUALS Kochi]].

The 2011 edition of the competition will be held at King’s College London from 4-6 November, 2011.

Many Congratulations to Law Centre-I guys! If Delhi University Law Faculty can have one Moot Court Society and One Moot Team and it gets some funding & support from the University & Faculty members, it can do miracles, even winning a top national/international moot is not a big dream..Keep it up young men!

Other than LC-I, GNLU and SOEL Chennai participated in the moot.

HNLU took part in the written phase, however, it could not participate in the oral rounds due to visa problems.

i am from one of the national law schools. I think NO.2 should refrain from commenting on matters he has no idea about. if we have all been proud of our own universities winning small national moots and followed each posts on those wins with a hundred comments on how good our universities are, LC has a right to be proud of this hard earned achievement. congrats to the team.
