NLSIU Bangalore put on good show at Oxford media moot; M S Ramaiah, Symbiosis Pune win top laurels at Pro Bono Enviro moot climbing the MPL 2 sponsored by Allen & Overy.
[[NLSIU Bangalore]] was the only Indian team to post a good performance at the [[Oxford International Media Law Moot Court Competition]], finishing as semi-finalists and winning the best oralist award in the Tier 3 elite class moot.
[[M.S.Ramaiah College of Law]] and [[Symbiosis Pune]] won laurels, along with other teams at the [[Pro Bono Enviro National Moot Court Competition, SOEL Chennai|Pro Bono Enviro moot]].

Oxford Media moot
Out of the four national law schools that qualified last December to participate in this moot, NLS Bangalore was the only team to take home 15 MPL points after finishing semifinalist and winning the best oralist award. In the semi finals, it lost to University of Belgrade, Serbia, which was the eventual winners of the moot.
[[NUJS Kolkata]] was the other Indian team to have broken into the last eight, but it also failed to get past the Serbian team in the quarter finals. The moot’s organiser and Oxford D Phil student Anup Surendranath confirmed the results.
NLS Bangalore continues to be placed fourth in the [[MPL Standings]], now only 69 points behind toppers [[Nalsar Hyderabad]] and 38 points behind [[NLU Delhi]] in third.
Pro Bono Enviro moot
At this Tier 5 moot, Bangalore based M. S. Ramaiah law school got the better of Symbiosis Pune in the finals.
Shruti Krishnan from [[Sastra University]] in Tamil Nadu won the best speaker award, while [[GNLU Gandhingar]] and [[Army Institute of Law, Mohali]] finished semifinalists.
[[RGNUL Patiala]] won the best researcher award and [[Army Institute of Law, Mohali]] also won the best memorial award in this Tier 5 moot.
R.S.Diwaagar, one of the organizers of the moot, confirmed the results and said that 13 teams had participated.

Looks like some other college team has defeated you badly in some moot court. You cribb like a girl on every possible MPL Article.

Second - the winners of this moot, Belgrade, were beaten by NUJS in the prelims. Congrats NUJS too.
@8, there are two moots in tier one called Willem C Vis and Willem C Vis (East). There is a college called NUJS in a city called Kolkata which has won both of these moots and has done extremely well in both of these moots every single year. So "theoretically" it is not impossible for NALSAR to not be the winner.
Also the team is coached by a Vis mooter who has also coached a lot of NUJS Vis teams in the past.
Leave arbitration moots to NUJS, do something else...

NUJS Moot Court Society
- No Indian speaker was top-10, as mistakenly claimed. NLU-D speakers finished 17 and 21.
- ILS speakers finished 27 and 62.
- NLU-D was not placed in the memo awards.
- NLU-D broke ninth, and not first, as mistakenly claimed.

Open the link you have provided and you will find that the no. 9 speaker on the list is Shreya Rastogi and her college reads as National Law University, Delhi.
And we won the award for the best overall applicants, which includes oralist scores and memorial marks and not just the memorial marks.
And nobody from NLUD ever claimed that our team broke as the first.
teams in semis are: Jindal, NALSAR, GNLU and NLIU Bhopal [not very sure if bhopal is there or not]
so, NALSAR wud take on Jindal and
GNLU wud be up against NLIU Bhops....
NALSAR n Jindal teams as i witnessed both of their rounds are awesome n no1 knows who wud beat whom....
GNLU n Bhopal also seem to be equally good.
